Busy Corner Restaurant, and Ernie’s Restaurant, have long been known for great breakfast in town. Bonus: They’re all on Derby Street! If you opt for Busy Corner, try their John Wayne Breakfast or the Old Londontowne. If it’s Ernie’s, try their famous Skillet Breakfast or Meatlover’s Omelet.
Eighth Street is also another popular destination for delicious breakfast options. Tadoughs serves up their famous spudnut donuts starting at 4 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. This is one you’ll want to get to early as they sell out! Mike’s Cobbler Corner Family Restaurant serves eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, waffles, and French toast all day long. Or you can hit up Pekin’s American Grill on Court Street for farm-fresh eggs, every type of skillet you can imagine, biscuits and gravy, and more.
